Product Description

Teapots date back to the 17th Century when taking tea was a luxury pastime. Loose tea was brewed in a teapot then caught by a strainer when poured into a tea cup. The cherry design was popular during the 1950's.

1967 is famous for being the Summer of Love and Flower Power. Many of the young generation were expressing themselves for the first time and 'letting it all hang out'.The time was heavily influenced by the Beatles and by discontent over the lack of condemnation of the Vietnam War. The growing knowledge of drug use amongst the elite was the inspiration for the psychedelic patterns that became associated with the period.
